PHPAskIt was written in June 2005 and is a question and answer script. I was originally going to edit existing scripts when I realised that firstly, those scripts were so insecure and out of date that I would essentially be rewriting them completely, and secondly, the creators were no longer around and I couldn't ask their permission.
The first version was released by CodeGrrl in August 2005, with version 1.1 released in November. Unfortunately, due to problems with other CG scripts, PHPAskIt was also taken off the site whilst the other scripts were fixed. Version 2.0 was released in April 2006, with version 2.1 following in August. PHPAskIt 3.0 was released independently from CodeGrrl in November 2007.
